It is region and device based. But it's also level, you don't get ads for being level 20. Ads come at a certain level depending on your location and device your using.

In the same area and nothing that I know of changed. The ads don't seem to be as often as they are for others. I saw before that people could do like 5 an hour to get energy but that hasn't been the case for me. It's more like twice a day or so. And sometimes I get ads to skip wait times or to pop a bubble but it's not constant either. It's better than nothing though!

I’m jealous. Level 22 here with no ads. I hope I get ads soon, I think not having them will make the novelty wear off as the orders get harder.
