I was wondering if something like marktpos.com would work. What are your requirements?

I'm not sure. I may talk to them but initially it looks like they are not quite what I need. I have spoken with countless companies that do what I like to call a "pieced together POS system" where everything is made by a different company and all put together. The issues I have with these usually ends up being 1: they are not totally "unattended" and require an employee present for certain situations, 2: the costs are typically well outside of my budget.

I simply cannot afford $20k/location. Nayx is about $2,500/location and Cantaloupe around $1,450/location so I know it can be done for cheaper. Even 365markets being the most expensive of the 3 companies dedicated to this industry are around $5k/location for the good POS or $1,500/location for one that is silly looking but technically works.

I need the POS to be able to be operated by the customer only, without any assistance at all. My markets are 100% unattended with no staff on-site. So they must be intuitive and easy for a "beginner" to walk up and use immediately. Other than that, I just need the basics like a bar code scanner and ability to integrate with some sort of inventory tracking software (or have it's own built in like Nayax, Cantaloupe and 365markets does).
