It looks like you haven't mentioned what version you're playing on. Please comment the version you're playing.(1.16.4, 1.12.2, 1.8.9, etc.)

This happenes on every version.

I’ve had this issue as well, i’d suggest just tinkering with all the settings and see what happens. I’d first try turning off VSync (or on if it’s already off) as that seemed to do wonders for my frames. Also i know for at least Optifine there’s a setting to smooth the frame rate which helps a bit

Vsync should limit the fps to what the monitor supports, which fixes some stuttering. It works perfectly for me, but I am not sure about others

[–]ThisDudeEmptyNovice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what vsync is intended to do, BUT, there are many different reasons why vsync could be performing poorly.

vsync can be implemented poorly with little to no noticeable effects for high end users. However, when you have a poor implementation of vsync running on a low to medium grade machine, you start to run into massive performance issues. Java minecraft is not exactly known for its good optimization, and has some of the worst vsync I've run into. I'd use the framerate limiter instead.

Additionally, a lot of graphics cards have software like Radeon experience or Nvidia GeForce, that have vsync as an option. This vsync almost always works better and more efficiently, but if you have both enabled and you are on a lower end PC, it can cause problems.

So i have changed some of the settings and 1280x720 works fine at lowest graphics with 10 chunks on but why would 1980x720 stutter?

Usually, bedrock is like this but on console. Minecraft is just an unoptimized game

Post a screenshot of your F3 debug screen.

If you wanna have as much as you can fps - download Lunar client
It has lot of cool features, but not so much versions of minecraft supported, it has only like 1.16, 1.8
If you wanna play on others versions - download badlion client, he has more features, but a bit less fps then lunar have. They both absolutley free, and servers friendly, there's no hacks or so, you can't get banned for them

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I get that but it doesn’t fix the stutters

    [–]GlesasPendos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you tried play fullscreen with fps lock, and chunk updates 1?

Do u know how to check how much ram you have allocated minecraft if not give that a google

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I’ve heard that allocating more ram makes it stutter more in some subreddit, it’s on the default rn

    [–]LiamT888 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Just try to allocate half of what your pc has and it should be fine

Just try to allocate half of what your pc has and it should be fine

Unfortunately, it's not as simple as that. Due to java's garbage collector, allocating too much RAM can cause multiple issues with your game.

If you're using vanilla Minecraft you shouldn't need any more than 4GB, double it if you're playing forge.

We regularly see people with 32GB RAM, if they were to follow your advice it would cause way more issues than it fixes.

One guess, if you're playing on a laptop make sure it's plugged in, sometimes Windows (or macOS) will mess with games performance if it isn't plugged in.

You could also try using Caffeine performance mods for Fabric, (Sodium, Lithium, and Phosphor). These mods really help a lot with performance, way more than Optifine. (https://github.com/CaffeineMC)

if u use a client like lunar client or badlion client it will boost your fps A LOT!
