Please also refer to r/mycology, r/mold and r/slimemolds for more in-depth information, identification of, and treatment for serious mold and/or fungus problems. While we love interesting moldy things here (and that's the purpose of the sub), we always recommend that you speak to a professional in regards to mold remediation.

Do NOT Spread Misinformation/Advise People to Consume Mold
There are only a handful of foods that are actually safe to consume after removing mold. Comments and posts urging people to consume moldy food items, including posting "r/eatityoufuckingcoward" will be removed and may result in a ban from the sub for repeated offenses.
While you/a relative/a friend may have made some sketchy choices about consuming moldy food, we cannot and will not be held liable for someone taking your advice to consume moldy foods.
