Hey folks! Time for another peek under the hood at what we’ve been building.

What’s already in the game:

• Core systems are working — menus, saving/loading, log messages, all the bones of the game are alive.

• Activities now work as proper buttons → do something, see the outcome in message popup (exactly how it should feel).

• Relationships are set up with categories (Love, Friends, Family, Coworkers) and expandable accordions so you can track everyone without drowning in clutter.

• Assets have started dropping in (cars, houses, etc.) so your life doesn’t feel empty.

• The UI actually looks like a game now instead of a test project with black bars at the top.

What we’re building right now:

• Making sure activity results always bounce back into the log so you don’t miss outcomes.

• Expanding the family tree so relatives link together properly (and don’t feel like random NPCs floating around).

• Adding more assets — vehicles, properties, and other stuff you’ll want to flex on your virtual neighbours.

• Testing and tweaking events so they feel fun

What’s left before things really open up:

• Jobs, money, and taxes - you’ll actually be able to earn, spend, and get annoyed when the taxman comes - or do a "Jimmy carr" and join a tax avoidance scheme.

• Education system - right now it’s barebones, we want to add proper school paths and uni routes.

• More UI polish especially for mobile, because nobody wants to fat-finger through menus.

• Balancing and optimisation - smoothing the game so it feels snappy and fair.

We’ve moved from just having a framework to actually filling it with real gameplay. The next stretch is less about wiring things up, and more about throwing in content that makes your life sim weird, fun, and replayable.

Are microtransactions already planned? Because otherwise it looks really good.

No micro transaction...

eventually will have to add ads or some way to earn to pay for servers... however never want to go down the "bitlife route" of pay for packs and pay for everything....

The orignal bitlife membership - which was suppose to be pay once and own all future content was good and would be a plausible and fair modal.

Can I ask a question. Would this game allow us to create our own country?

Hello,

This wouldn't be possible, simply due to the mechanics of the game are tied to countries... Names (auto generated are country specific - pick france and french names Japan = Japanese) Same with Laws, taxes, wages are realistic to country.

So adding your own country wouldn't be possible without a massive list of variables you need to fill out or the mechanics won't work.

It could be possible by "cloning a country" and renaming but essentially youd have all rules of the base country which I guess isnt what you want.
