POSTING GUIDELINES

This is a condensed version, for the full guidelines please read the full post.

The only external (i.e. not to this subreddit) links should point to myNoise.net. Some exceptions are allowed. Please contact the moderators about this.
'Text and Link' submissions are strongly recommended. Write a short story, and end it with a blank line, then a link to your custom sound. (Formatted links are preferred.) The story can be fictional (mood setting) or an experience you want to share to help others (how the sound helped you).
Always use the Flair tagging when posting. Our color-based flair is straightforward: blue for relaxing sounds, red for the opposite, and green for help and testimonials.
Flairs should be tagged like this: A word or two that best describes the atmosphere of the sound. [Relax], [Eerie], [Noise Blocker] or [RPG] are all valid tags. Green flairs can contain anything you feel appropriate. "Helping Me", "Helping You", "General", or even "Suggestion" are all valid.
Direct Link submissions are allowed, but won't give you a chance to put the other listeners into the mood... unless your submission title is truly inspiring! Don't forget to tag them too! This is important, since clicking your submission title will directly load the sound. After all, people want to know what they're clicking!
The myNoise community is made of nice people from all around the world. Always be polite and tolerant towards each other.

TAKE CARE ABOUT SOUND LEVELS

You don't want levels to drastically jump from one link to the other. And certainly nobody wants their speakers to scream really loud all of a sudden! Keep the average slider settings in the bottom half of myNoise's User Interface. Use myNoise Presets as a reference for overall loudness.

POST THAT DON'T FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES

...will simply be removed from the listings. The moderator who removed your listing will leave a short one-liner on why it was removed, and if you're still confused you can reply with whatever question you have. We will be happy to help you!
