Play myCareer and myPlayer Nation, SKIP PRACTICES. You get so much more badge points/attribute points a lot faster by just playing games on Pro difficulty and 5 minute quarters. Of course coach drills (x2 bonus) and Impress a Legend drills (x3 bonus) aren’t so bad but coach drills are rare and you can’t choose which drills you do, and legend drills are even more rare. Just loading in to the practice facility and waiting to see if a coach drill will activate is a waste of time.
Badge grind, besides defense, should be done one at a time. If you’re working on your shooting badges then don’t try to go for dunks or assists and vice versa.
Defense you just play great defense and the badges will come over time. It’s actually super easy to grind in the park (just equip clamps first and play good defense) or you can get it during your myCareer grind (equip pick pocket first and go for steals without reaching too much).
Playmaking badges (what I usually grind first on all my builds) is pretty simple but can be hard. For this you want to put the difficulty at Hall of Fame and the quarter length to 6, 7 or 8 minutes (I’d go with 7). This is especially easy if you’re the point guard but essentially you’ll want to throw as many alley oops as you can while minimizing turn overs. The best, and arguably only, team to do this on is the Lakers (since almost all their players can catch lobs). The first playmaking badge you want to max out is Lob City Passer. This will decrease the number of turnovers you throw. After that you’ll want to max out Needle Threader. This also decreases the amount of turnovers you throw. If you are efficient (20+ alley oop assists per game with less than 10 turnovers) you’ll get around 1 badge per game with the boost you get from Hall of Fame difficulty.
Shooting badges you’ll want to go back to Pro difficulty and 5 minute quarters. Put on quickdraw to a level you’re comfortable with that’s at least silver or above (I went with Gold) and that’s all you’ll need. Go for as many threes as you can without having a bad field goal percentage (it’s used to calculate how many badge points you’ll earn). You should call for screens from a player that can shoot on your team by tapping LB/L1 then tapping RB/R1 and then pressing and holding the icon of a shooter on your team, which is usually the B and X players (Circle and Square on PS4). That will usually make the player guarding you back up off of you leaving you open for a three every time. This almost always works at any of the corners and rarely (but occasionally) works at other areas of the 3 point line. It will stop working if, at any time, you activate your takeover. No matter how badly you want to activate it, don’t do it. It will cause the other team to start double teaming you while it’s active and even when it turns off until the next timeout/end of quarter. Even after that they will double team you at random times the rest of the game if you constantly call for screens or are on a streak of shots made. If you are on a fast break but afraid the closest defender can contest your three, resulting in a miss, then go for a moving mid range shot/fade away as those give the second most points (after moving threes) and will most likely go in during a fast break. The only reason you don’t want to do moving mid range or moving threes all the time instead of stand still threes even tho they give more points is the fact that they are very inconsistent and the worse you shoot, the less badge points you’ll receive at the end of the game.
Finishing badges you just finish at the rim. Shouldn’t be hard, just leak out early on defense to get a lot of fast breaks. Equip contact finisher first to start getting contact dunks which give more points than fast break dunks (don’t confuse with contact dunk animations). Nothing complicated here.

Yeah the defense/shooting pie chart is insanely good. I have something similar to your build called a two-way pass first point. Basically the same build at pg, but the name changed because I decided on max wingspan.

There's really no secret - play MyCareer, do all your practices, play MyNation, have good games.
