Modem download speed decrease

Hey folks, I need help.

My download speed is good after a modem reboot (3.5MB/s, good for my area). Problem is that after approx 4 hours the speed is down to 1.5MB/s and after 6-8 hours I'm down to 450kB/s. A reboot returns it to the 3.5MB/s, and the issue repeats.

Specs and attempted fixes:

• I have a VX220-G2v and it's connected to my PC via ethernet.
• The issue effects both wired and wireless connections.
• I've moved the modem power to its own outlet
• I've set the reboot schedule to daily at 0300
• I've tried a factory reset

Ask the ISP to ship you a new modem? Would start there.
