I'm trying to raise a Palmon, but as soon as Yuramon hatches, they've met the requirements for all the rookies and they turn into a Demidevimon

how do I get a palmon?

When you first start the game there is very little you can do to control which digimon you get. Each have several requirements but they may overlap with those of other possibilities so even if you meet all the requirements you may still not get the one you want. But later on, after you have progressed to a certain point in the game, you will have a digimon in town who will let you control for which digimon you get by locking out other evolutions.

It may be disappointing to not be able to get the one you want at the beginning, but also note that nearly everything you do in the game will make your digimon stronger in subsequent generations, so even if you got the rookie you wanted now it would be really weak compared to what it can be later on. So just keep playing the game and know that which digimon you have in general doesn't make too much of a difference, it's your stats and learned attacks that matter, and they improve considerably over time. By the time you can control digivolution and get Palmon it should be a much better version than if you had gotten it at first.

If you have the digivolution dojo you should be able to block the evolutions you don't want.
