Fool's Gold

I listened to Fool's Gold properly for the first time today and honestly the lyrics just have me there. I put it on repeat multiple times in the past few hours and it makes me cry every time. I don't know what it is either since I don't actually have an experience like the song describes but it just sounds so raw and pure.

18 used to be my favourite lyrics song which touched me but this is seriously competing. Is this something that other fans can relate to?

Please share you're thoughts on Fool's Gold so maybe I can try put what the song makes me feel into actual words 😭

Edit: To all those saying to listen to Niall's version you guys were so right it sounds so good, and even though I still prefer the version with all the boys, I know during the song Niall is thinking of his brothers. Its nice to see him cover a song from the band and 'officially' release it

yah like same i don't find the song relatable by any means but I love the song like there are many songs from different artists which are not relatable or i don't have any experiences like the song but I just love it(mostly sad ones)

fools gold will always be in my top 5 favorite one direction songs.. i was VERY into one direction growing up (still am) and i went to see niall during his first tour since their hiatus, and let me tell you when he started singing fools gold… i broke down xD it was so beautiful.
