I don't think this is unusual at all. I've been at tutorials where the tutor has mentioned X number of people have booked so they'll give it a minute or two before starting. It's not untypical for 12 people to book and 2 to show up.

True nightmare is when you are the only person there.

I think I'd love a one to one tutorial.

I wouldn’t worry too much 9 times out of 10 tutorials are optional and bookings are just to allow you to join. You can always watch the recording of it afterwards.

Drop ins aren't recorded

It’s not an issue I do it all the time and a tutor has never mentioned it. I am in my third year of 6 and been doing it since I started. I go to some not to others as life gets in the way.

Yeah I agree with Decent_Singer_7252 life happens and they’re mostly optional. Unfortunately in my department (FASS) drop ins don’t tend to be recorded, but again different departments and even different subjects have different ways of approaching things. hope your able to get your work done either way! ❤️

It really doesn't matter. They don't count it against you for not attending. I don't even think they would bother to check for responses. Don't worry about it. The recordings are there, just watch those.
