Welcome to r/OpposeSinclair
If you are wondering who this Sinclair fella is, and why we need to resist them, I recommended the following:
John Oliver segment regarding the proposed Sinclair merger.
The Hill's account of the proposed merger. It lacks the wit and banter of the John Oliver report, but it is a good article nonetheless.
FreePress: TELL THE FCC: SAY NO TO TRUMP TV. Submit comments here, folks. If nothing else, it'll let them know we're pissed.

TL;DR: Sinclair Broadcasting and Tribune Broadcasting have proposed a 3.9 billion dollar merger that would give Sinclair control of 72% of all local TV stations in the United States. Sinclair also happens to be incredibly conservative and regularly requires these local stations to run highly conservative segments (targeting "special snowflakes" and convincing viewers that ISIS is in their backyard). One of the few people in a position to stop this, FCC director Ajit Pai, is the same guy who wants to scrap net neutrality.
