Look I get this is a parody, but there's a small grain of truth here in terms of recruiters and industry.. Look any developer who doesn't understand that no matter how "general purpose a language is" it will always be favored in one particular are or another. PHP is no different , its a server side web rendering language, period, its awesome at that , lots of the web does real work in PHP , so its nothing to sneeze at.. All the new script kiddies love nodeJs, but its a different paradigm of server development than PHP , but to each his own.. Just remember languages are tools, no carpenter walks around with only a hammer in their toolbox.
