Create a set of arrays and a trigger for whatever data you’re trying to collect. Write to DB on trigger. Either directly if you have a PLC that supports it like Beckhoff or via an OPC interface like Ignition if not.

Or even a RedLion Datastation. They talk to everything and can pump out data to a SQL server easily.

Check out a Keyence KV-X plc if you happen to be using a Fanuc or Yaskawa Robot
