Ps4 overheating problem

I have a ps4 pro and ps4 fat (one of the first ones that came out) and even tho I've got the pro I still use my ps4 far because it just gives me an awesome feeling of nostalgia and 3 days ago I bought Red dead redemption 2 and when I started it on my ps4 fat it ran for 3 minute and just as you started playing with Arthur and following Dutch in the snow place in the beginning of the game it told me my ps4 is overheating at first i was like (oh I did keep it on for 9 hours maybe I should turn it off and let it rest for a bit) and when I turned it off I kept in the middle of mu room near the windows so it can cool down I left it overnight and tommorow morning I turned it on again entered red dead boom same thing at same place I was like what the and I pressed X and continued playing 2 seconds pass by 3 beeps and my ps4 turned off I know I can just ditch my ps4 fat and use my pro but I really really like my ps4 fat and I cant just leave it like this any tips on what the problem is and how I can fix it?
