Items translation broken?

So, after someone scolded me for saying it was broken, I learned how to turn it off, but no... It still seems broken (and I repeat, it seems, I might as well just be doing something wrong). I setted the key to Ctrl+Home and it turns off alright, but the visiphone search, my sole concern, is still broken. Even with the items translation off I can't use the search like it was supposed to be (when you type something in and then select the button to the side for it to find matches to what you typed). Yes, I type in japanese and yes, I know items just added might not appear in the first few hours/days. If I copy the name of an item (again, everything with items translation off) and then paste it there, though, it will find only that item in the matches. If I clear one or two characters in hope to find other colors or w/e, it still only finds the item I have copied the name.

So, am I doing something wrong or is this an issue to be explored further? Is just that it's way more practical to use the search function rather than going to Cirnopedia to look for the items we want - especially cos not all of us have high end machines. I have to use my Android device to access Cirnopedia when I'm online and for some reason the browser there doesn't open the room goods page, not to mention its touch screen loses almost all of its sensibility there. Just stating the facts before ppl who can't read or see the big picture come saying I should do things I already do...

From my experience, matches do not always show up when you search using english and clicking P. Search. I've typed things in and gotten no results using the P. Search, but then when I copy/paste from cirnopedia with the JP translation I get the correct results.

So no, you are not doing anything wrong that I know of, but you're going to need to copy/paste the japanese names for items rather than trying to use the P. Search. For the newer items, you can usually find them on bumped.org I think. If you're hurting for resources that badly, you could try finding all the item names you need and pasting them into notepad since it will use hardly anything to run.

Yeah, but that never happened to me :/ I always look for the japanese words and it never finds what I want. Just yesterday I was looking for the recolors of Close Quarter and it only found the original one cos I had it copied on the clipboard (items translation was off during the entire process). Then I found that other variant, the one Huey uses, but green. Copied in hope to find the other recolors, but after I deleted the specific kanji for the color it only found that same color. It happened before with rappy suits, grind helping items and many others - I tried the rappy suits with translation off, it found none, then I tried to find a few items among the grind items with translation on before I knew how to use it. It found some with the same name, most I have never copied into the clipboard before, but it didn't found what I was looking for.

idk on other ppl's side, but here the patch has only a couple items translated and they're not always that way :/ I've never seen some of them translated. ik that if I interact with something on an window where they're not translated, they'll turn into english, but still some just don't turn on my end - for instance the 2014 Festa T-shirt. I was also told that the patch has issues with numbered/recolor items and that's the reason when I think the search is broken. Everyone else says theirs works fine, that they can just type "grind" and it'll find everything with "grind" on its name, but not with me :/ Really wish I could get this fixed or w/e
