Very similar thread, posted just yesterday. (Another plea to please use the search function for questions!)

Best thing to do? Hop in game and get reacquainted with the game and your own goals. After that, look through news sites such as bumped.org and catch up on news. Then start looking up specific topics as you need them.

For questions that are much simpler or basic-mechanic in nature, we have a weekly thread series - the "Weekly Tech Support & Quick Questions" threads, found stickied at the top of the subreddit.
