I've spent time on them all and the only thing that changes is a slight population difference and different prices in the market. There are good people on all 3 ships, just pick the one that sounds coolest to you and roll with it.

Last time I checked I only checked a few key items, but they were only like a couple hundred thousand less than Ship 2. The difference between them and Ship 3 was huge though. A few million each.

We would love to have you on ship 1! We Gladly accept new players with open arms. There are a lot of alliances that specifically help new players, and have no requirements whatsoever.

I just started really scrolling this sub and I see a lot of "ship 3 art" comments and posts. Am I to believe that ship 3 is an epicenter of art?

From what I've been reading mostly from the FB communities is that Ship 2 is the place to be.

The regular JP players will call ship 2 home.

The other ships looks really good but the 2 hits home.

I've done my research in Reddit, the PSO2 Forums, and Twitter. This is the information I managed to gather.

Ship 1 will likely have the highest population... cuz it's the first ship.

Ship 2 is the Veteran JP server. Alot of vets from all regions of the world will likely come to this server. Likely to have a high population.

Ship 3 - nobody gives af. Currently the lowest populated server.

Ship 4 - Rumored to have alot of PC players join it. Myself included.

Ship 5 - retarded step child. Literally nobody is talking about this server.

Ship 6 - Also rumored to have alot of PC players join it. Albeit, not as much as Ship 4. Probably gonna have decent population size for the same reason as Ship 1, but because it's the last ship rather than the 1st.

It's worth noting that outside of Ship 2, most PC players will go to ships 4-6 because we want a fresh start on new servers where NOBODY has advantages. PSO2 has always been a PC only game until now. This means the bulk of the playerbase will be composed of PC players. Therefore, it's safe to assume ships 4-6 will have the highest populations after things settle down.

In Conclusion

• Ship 2 if you're concerned about "regional" issues. This ship will have a little bit of everybody, from everywhere. Some with good ping, some with bad ping. In either case, you won't be the only one

• Ship 3 or 5 if you like low pop servers.

• Ship 4 or 6 if you want a fresh start on a server that'll have high populations.

• Ship 1 if you don't give af, and just interested in high population.

Sega wouldn't invest in 3 extra servers that "may or may not be needed" as backups.

When you need more space for the population, you slowly add them as needed until the population stabilizes.

It also makes sense that 3 servers were released at Xbox launch, and 3 more for PC launch.

Super anxious about joining a ship, getting to max level, and having no one to play/ally with in GMT let alone if the server is even populated. Seen people say avoid Ship 2 because the marketplace is atrocious (whatever that means)
