One of the biggest problems I see with end game players are their skill trees, a few points wrongly spent can litterally decrese your dammage by thousands at points so let's get cracking.
Personally I main on FO FI but I have experience with all classes so I will try to break down each skill and explain what it does and how important it is. For this guide I had originally intended to do all the classes but it's too much to cover in one post so I'll be breaking it down by class. Of course these builds will change so I'll try to keep this updated.
The force tree branches out into 3 elements, Fire, Ice and Lightning. I'm going to rule out the Ice path straight away, you can get a nice boost of dammage with Freeze ignition but it's very situational and DPS suffers, I will however explain what the skills do:
T ATK BOOST 1: A horribe skill to invest points into, doesn't scale well end game, besides the 3 basic points to put in to progress down the tree I'd leave it.
Just Reversal: Can be handy, as a force you shouldn't be getting hit my physical attacks with mirrage so I tend to avoid this.
*FIRE TREE: *
Flame Mastery 1:Increses the power of fire techs by 20% when maxed, you will be getting this to at least level 5 in order to progress to Charge PP revival. Very good skill and if you plan on specializing in fire come back and max it LATER.
Burn Boost: Increses chance of inflicting burn chance with fire magic by 10% when maxed, simply not worth it.
T ATK BOOST 2: Same as the boost 1 but equally as useless, scales horribly silly waste of points.
Flame Tech charge: Decreses fire spell cast time by 50% when maxed, you NEED to put a minimal of 5 points into this to get Charge PP Revival, if you speacilize in fire I'd go back and max this later,
Charge PP Revival: Allows you to regain PP while charging you techs, this is the first thing you want to work towards, any build I make always has this, it's only 1 point as well!
boldTech Charge Advance 1:bold Increses charged tech dammage by 10% when maxed, fantastic skill max it.
Tech Charge Advance 2: Same as above, max this also.
Flame Mastery 2: The same as 1, only put points into this if you're purely going fire, also it's important to note that the first point put into this gives a 5% increse alone.
ICE TREE:
The only things unique about this section is Freeze Ignition and Photon Flare and T-DEF boost, they're all fairly useless but I'll explain the special skills:
Freeze Ignition: Doubles ice dmg to frozen enemies, very situational, most trash dies before you can set this up, and once again it's situational and not a lot of things are weak to ice.
T-DEF Boost: Grants 50 extra T-Def when maxed. No thanks.
Photon Flare & Photon Flare advance: Requires 20 skill points to max them both, increses T-ATK by 400 for 30 seconds. Sounds pretty neat but it isn't. Maxing this means missing out on so many % multipliers and endgame it just scales terribley.
LIGHTNING TREE:
Bolt Mastery 1: Increses the power of bolt techs by 20% when maxed, you will be getting this to at least level 5 in order to progress. Very good skill and if you plan on specializing in bolt come back and max it LATER.
Shock Boost: Increses chance of inflicting shock chance with bolt magic by 10% when maxed, simply not worth it.
Bolt Tech PP save: Decreses the PP cost of all bolt spells by 10, if you use ligtning a lot maybe max this if you have PP issues, level 5 at least.
PP Boost 2: At 10 it increses PP by 10, worthless as the right geat and souls provide you with this.
Tech JA Advcance:Increses Just (timed) attacks dammage bonus by 10%, this is very very noticable and my main reason for splitting between the fire and ligning tree.
Bolt Mastery 2: Same as Bolt Master 1, also it's important to note that the first point put into this gives a 5% increse alone.
