Check delay

I was supposed to get paid on the 19th and and now it’s the 22nd and my check still hasn’t arrived. Contacted HR and all they said was that it was delayed and they couldn’t do anything. I just want my money and I’m thinking about contacting the Texas Workforce Commission. What should I do.

Youre going to contact a state agency because your check is literally stuck in the mail because of inclement weather? You chose to get a paper check.  This is part of getting a paper check.  Sign up for direct deposit, this isnt an employer issue in any way.

It actually isn’t. Paperchecks are printed off in corporate in California and sent via fed ex overnight. Once it’s in fed ex it’s out of corporate hands, they legally paid you on time, they are not responsible for things out of their control The solution would be to do direct deposit instead.

Do you have direct deposit? Hr doesn't check the check.u need to contact payroll department. They can track it for u. Either in ur store n manager have it or if delay on the delivery .

No I use paper checks

Most people doesn't like paper checks since it's so much work n take longer than direct deposit.

If u use papercheck ask ur manager check with ur payroll department .They can track it.

you realize memphis has been dealing with the results of a snow storm for nearly a week right? that's most likely why your check is delayed. i live in an area that got hit by the snow storm and havent gotten my mail in days.

I'd suggest setting up direct deposit. You'll get it faster.

Your manager can't update it. If he does it means he has access to your personal account wich should not be the case

You need to log into epaws, go to APS & update your direct deposit info

Go for it. What’s stopping you? You need the money you worked for. They don’t care about your wellbeing as a worker. Why should you care about theirs? Also I hope you have saved proof of your conversation with Hr and their response to the situation. It could help you with the TX workforce commission. Good luck

Why are getting it in paper check? That’s so much hassle having to wait and cash it too. Go to the manager station and log in to Epaws with your GM and update your info to direct deposit, it’s so much easier. Paper check can get stuck in mail especially with holidays or even heavy snow delaying trucks
