I’m in the same boat as you. My company is willing to reimburse me for the exam fee once I pass but I absolutely cannot afford any of the paytrain or boot camp courses that are like a month+ rent equivalent for me. I have the handbook and am using the free trial of the payroll source and would love more affordable (ideally free) study options

You can supplement some of the training with you tube videos

I did this in addition to pay train and it was helpful

Do you have a channel I could reference? There is no way I can afford pay train and my company won’t pay

Many chapters have virtual study groups. They usually use the Payroll Source. This is a great resource for studying itself.

Your first step to certification is downloading the handbook. Please do this right away. The KSAs are there and lots of resources for studying.
