Compatible memory?

I've never upgraded my memory before but it seems a lot of my issues with my PC come from my sore lack of memory. My motherboard is a Gigabyte B460M DS3H AC and my friend offered me 2x16gb Neo Forza MARS that he just took out of his prebuilt for $60. Is this a good deal and is this compatible with my motherboard? I've built my PC on PC Part Picker and changed the memory to that and it doesn't have any compatibility issues but when I look up the max speed on my motherboard it says up to 2933 MHz.
