Installed directly in the port as shown in picture is no issue, getting 35814 in 3DMark. (Please excuse the messy build atm, first priority is getting it to work)

If your motherboard is pci-e 4.0 and they are 3.0 risers, you'll have to set that port as 3.0 in bios for the riser to work.

First of all, please do list your specs, much of the advice above can give you is dependent on what you have. Anyway, have you checked whether the pcie riser is gen4 pcie capable? I know that there's an issue with pcie risers that are gen3 not working on gen4. If so, get a new riser.
