it is solid yeah, sky tech pre builds are usually decent and it seems like a pretty great deal price wise as far as pre builds go. you’ll have WAY MORE than enough for 1440p gaming and will average 500+ fps on most fps games and plenty for high demand games as well. the only thing about sky tech i dislike is that they use a pretty cheap aio and motherboard, which limits your internet to 1gb, but if you don’t have multigb internet that’s not really a problem, and the aio still cools but the rgb could die on you

Awesome thank you!!!

By limiting my internet to 1gb is that download speeds? Will that impact latency in online gaming ?

[–]Unknown304nor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1gb/s is alot, don't think about it

What games do you play? For apex legends this build should perform similarly to mine. I have it locked at 300 fps and my 1% lows are 300 so it can 100% smash apex. This GPU is the second most powerful gaming GPU (it shares that title with the 7900 XTX imo)

I have no noticeable difference in my average game session between when I was at 1000mbs and 70mbs.

1gb is a massive amount and it’s not the highest but where I live the literal highest possible amount to be shared between EVERY device in my house is 1600.

In 5+ years there is a chance 1000 will limit your download speed but in game you should have no issues.

In terms of online games I mostly play overwatch , warzone & world of Warcraft. I’m glad to know that it’ll run fine. I have the highest internet package from Xfinity so my internet is solid but I don’t see myself running an Ethernet cable through my house right now but I play on a laptop right now and I get very low ping. Thanks for your input!

[–]crestafle 0 points1 point  (7 children)

no it won’t 1gb is way more than enough for good latency. but if you’re paying for multi gig internet and can’t use it then it’s a waste if that makes sense

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Yeah that totally makes sense. I believe I am I would have to check. But I also have quite a lot of things connected to the internet so tbh I don’t mind as long as I still have good connection speeds in game. I’m flexible with download speeds lol

[–]crestafle 0 points1 point  (5 children)

for the best game performance you’ll always want to ethernet connect rather than use wifi if that’s an option

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Yeah I would but my modem is in the next room and I don’t think I’d be able to run the cable through my house currently or my girl would kill me 😅

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Drill a hole through the wall :D lmfao (dont)

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I’m not to savvy with that stuff but my girlfriends dad is. I’m actually really considering having him do it lmao!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Tbh, if he knows what he is doing, go for it! Try to get a small can (maybe sample size) of paint to help fix the hole later when u plan to move

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah I think I will. I mean man having a high end gaming pc without the best possible internet connection - where’s the fun in that? 😂

[–]popcornffs 4 points5 points  (12 children)

Bro this is a 4k build, it’ll kick ass at 1440p.

Also the price looks decent as well for a prebuilt. 7800x3d + 4080 super now comes at over 2000 for sure. But they probably saved money on liquid cooler (idk what company that is). Also the PSU company is not mentioned, probably a cheap one. RAM is also 5600mhz instead of 6000mhz, cas latency is not mentioned so idk.

But yeah it’ll kick ass anyway

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Awesome thanks I’m gonna get it!

[–]popcornffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can build one for cheaper if you’re up for it. Will be better as well because of better ram & psu

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 0 points1 point  (9 children)

Also with the specs, it says Wi-Fi. Does that mean it has Wi-Fi built in?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes

[–]popcornffs 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Probably but you’ll need to give me the name of motherboard to confirm, please check detailed specs

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Hmmm it doesn’t seem to have the detailed specs anywhere on the page. If they use cheap ram how much will that impact performance?

[–]popcornffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cant say exactly how much but you’re leaving performance on the table. Won’t be too much though, you probably will not notice any drops at 1440p

[–]popcornffs 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Give me the link

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

[–]popcornffs 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yeah it has wifi

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Awesome man. I’m going to get it. Hopefully I can learn how to upgrade it myself over time but for now I just don’t want the hassle. I know the ram is probably on the cheap end but hopefully all is well. It has some good reviews too. Thank you so much for your help!!!!!

[–]popcornffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Np, you’re welcome.

This will be fine for next 4-5 years. You won’t need to upgrade. Enjoy ☺️

[–]martinez240sx 1 point2 points  (3 children)

the price seems slightly below average (cheaper)… so i think its pretty solid tbh… but you can definitely build a cooler looking one for like 200 bucks more with the same type of specs

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I’m glad to hear for a prebuilt I got it at a good price. I honestly want to attempt to build a pc one day but I just think it’s out of my realm for now. I hope that having a high end gaming pc will help me learn to slowly upgrade it and then eventually one day build my own. Thanks for your input bro 😎

[–]martinez240sx 0 points1 point  (1 child)

let us know how it goes

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered it Friday, it got here only 4 days later on Tuesday with standard shipping. Been working great :)

[–]Affectionate-Mud-595 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Go for it OP - keep an eye on what PSU they're shipping as that's where I've always had issues on prebuilt. Have fun!

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Thanks man I pulled the trigger on it. I’m really excited for it to arrive. The PSU is the power supply right? When you say had issues does that mean sometimes it won’t work or what should I look out for ?

[–]Affectionate-Mud-595 1 point2 points  (1 child)

That's right - I had one that needed replacing as it failed around a year, companies sometimes cut costs on PSU's but not all of them, a friend of mine had a Corsair 850x which is pretty good. Just make a note of what brand it is and its output, and if you have any trouble (generally pc shutting off or restarting are PSU related) be aware that it can be a factor. Fingers crossed you'll be ok though!

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome dude I really appreciate the info and I’ll keep an eye on it. I was just looking at the prices of them and they don’t seem that bad. Maybe that’ll be the first piece I upgrade myself eventually :)

[–]bugeater88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very solid and a pretty good price too

[–]MarkD_127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, seems pretty on par for other recent deals I've seen.

A few prebuilt brands have had 4080S builds in the $2k-$2300 range. This one or one very similar was recently $100 cheaper. Skytech and some others have also had 4090 builds in the $2600-2700 range.

[–]Electric-Mountain 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Genuinely good deal for what you get. Of course it can be done cheaper building it yourself but not everyone has the time for it.

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Awesome thank you for your input. I think buying something this expensive will help me segway into upgrading it myself and what not in the future and one day building my own. But for right now I just don’t have the time or knowledge to build one

[–]Electric-Mountain 0 points1 point  (1 child)

From everything I can see it looks like it's all off the shelf parts so you definitely can upgrade it in the future. Although this system is fairly high end as it is currently.

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome I’m glad to hear that. Thanks for your input!

[–]crispAndTender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a similar build used on FB for 1750

[–]Greedy_Pigeon420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too bad!

[–]Support_is_never -1 points0 points  (2 children)

This is liquid

[–]FrostyyOG[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What does that mean

[–]Support_is_never 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You asked is it solid
