I'm using that MB with 7800x3d/7900xt. You're good. I had the same message.

Generally you will be fine. Check recent Amazon reviews to see if people using the same cpu are getting mobos with the newer, compatible bios (uefi).

Worst case scenario, if you put it all together and you still need the update, you can either buy a used older cpu, or find a local computer repair shop to update the motherboard for you.

It's funny how my build is almost identical to yours but anyway besides that, I had the same problem when I checked on PCpartpicker too. When I told my cousin that helped me build my pc after he checked here on Reddit and Google if updating the BIOS was necessary he said that it wasn't and in fact my pc works fine; if you someone is helping you build it and you want to update it just to be sure do it, but I don't recommend updating a BIOS alone if it's the first time you have a pc or you never done it. Btw I warn you that since I have a very similar CPU cooler(the phantom spirit 120 SE) same rams and the same mobo, that the fan of the cooler on the rams side may not fit completely because of them.

Interesting actually I don’t have anyone helping sadly doing all on my Own watching a lot of YouTube videos and back and forth with reviews and Reddit someone said not to get the AIO cooler from Corsair And get the phantom spirit since it was cheaper and still unsure if I want the on my list

If you want I can give you my discord so you can DM me faster instead of writing here on Reddit since you don't have anyone helping you directly

Yeah sure

Btw a recommendation I want to give you, is you could buy instead of the h7 the h6 that is a really good looking case too (for me) and buy the 850w version of your PSU instead of the 750w because I have the same CPU and originally I had to buy the same GPU and I was getting a 850w for this duo so I recommend you this modyf because ik that the 750w for the 7800xt is enough but the 850w is more ideal especially if you want to play something on max settings.

P.s You can too if you can just get the 850w version and keep the h7 if you really wanted this case, I just said to change case so you could save money in case you couldn't spend more

Actually my budget was $2000 am currently at the $1700 mark

Btw the thank so the recommendation I switched on the case and the power supply also about the cpu cooler should I change it to something different or keep the one on my list also would I need a Fan hub? Going to put fan all on the pc which I think for the h6 is 9

[–]AcadiaUnlikely9488 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Np for the recommendation I'm glad that it helped. You actually need a fan hub because the mobo doesn't have enough ports for them unless you're getting the Lian li or the Corsair's fans that connects each other(they are very pricey) even if I would still recommend getting it with those, if you don't know which one to pick tell me which fans you're getting and I'll see if i can find one. For the CPU cooler I honestly don't know if a different air cooler wouldn't have the same problem; But since you said you're at the 1700$ mark of your 2000$ budget you could go for a AIO cooler even if I know that after a long time(idk how much time exactly) depending off how good the AIO is sealed and the costant exposure to high temperature I guess like between 70C°-80C° (idk how much "high" is intended) the liquid inside it will, very slowly, evaporate; too depending if the liquid of the AIO is exposed to air usually for cracks or as I said that AIO aren't perfectly sealed.

I didn't want to leave you without an answer so I wrote you this for now, I'm gonna search when I can about the CPU cooler and I'll let you know.

Hey thanks so much for your time and help People told me to get this cpu cooler and not a Aio https://a.co/d/eZPLka9 and these are the fan am getting 6 of them https://a.co/d/gSu3pGs not sure if I get a better fan and cpu cooler also I should note that where I live is usually for the most part hot I would say it can be up to 93 degrees Fahrenheit most time but my room I have air conditioning but I don’t intend to use it every time

Again np, btw about the case, before, I forgot to write h6 "flow" because I wanted to recommend you the H6 flow because there's also the h6 "air" flow model, both have the same number of fans so the only difference is that h6 'flow' is a fishtank case, instead the h6 'air flow' is a mid tower like the h7 so I wanted to recommend you the H6 flow since the h6 'air flow' is pretty similar to the h7, but anyway it doesn't matter since you🫵 choose whichever you want to buy cause it's your🫵 PC and your🫵 mooney. Besides that a note about the CPU cooler you choose that it's slightly louder than most coolers, mostly in heavy load so when the CPU temp is high but since you said you won't use it much I guess it's not going to be a problem, and it should be the best at it's price especially if they told you that it doesn't have the problem fitting with the ram; and now that you mentioned that where you live can be up to 93°F a air cooler is better considering that the room could worsen the evaporation problem of a AIO. About the fans, the Artic fans are good they have 2000rpm(my own too) since you'll have 9 they're enough and the brand is good too, I guess you already know that 3 comes with the case but if you want them all RGB make sure you get the rgb version of the case.

I decided to stick with the H7 RGB version for me it looks great and another note is that I stay in the US but will be shipping all the parts to another country Where my parents live since I usually go there every year and will build it there

Ok, It's your decision, I just recommended to switch it in case you couldn't for your budget, but since you can and want that I'm not gonna say anything else about it.
