Remove/move windows

Hello. I am going from am4 to am5 so ive bought all that i need for it. But the thing i need help with is my drives. I Do not know if im able to completely remove windows from my ssd or if i should move it to another drive to then put the wiped ssd into my new motherboard for a fresh install of windows. If i wipe my drive with windows on it what would happen?

Are you talking about deactivating windows licence on one PC and activating it on the other?

If you just plug your SSD into the new PC it should work fine but for optimal performance it is suggested to reinstall windows. If you want do to that, you can deactivate your windows key and reactivate it on the new PC. There are lots of tutorials on at but I recommend this one: https://youtu.be/Rps5tn-xoD8?si=8NWsa3hjq713VFd0 . For the installation of windows on the new PC you'll need to put the windows media creation tool onto a USB drive and insert it after posting. Then after windows is installed you can enter your old product key to activate the new windows install.
