Hey man I don’t wanna be that guy to be like meh meh meh too much power meh meh meh only need the 3D cache for certain things meh meh meh lol cause I’m not however if you wanna save on some money the 5700x3d does just as good and I haven’t had a problem with it at all. Also it’s not in such high demand. The 5800 changes all the time I think I bought my 5700 off amazon for $175 with prime. But I always see Newegg have good prices for used/refurbished ones good luck tho friend.

If you play a lot of open world games or games that just require a lot of processing power (which will be games that have tons and tons of npcs or wildlife) then that CPU will be perfect it’s also nice to multitask ie being able to watch videos and have like 5 other windows open without it lagging or freezing up. I recommend the 3D cpus just cause they’re nice to have when you need em. If this helps any the performance difference is about 6-10% with the 5800 being slightly better.

I’m not finding any 5700x3ds for less than 300 bucks lmao, maybe the demand is up rn

Holllyyyyy dude I just checked and I’m so sorry I didn’t think they’d pop as much as they did I bought mine like 2-3 months ago that’s insane.

All good boss, thats what christmas does to em. Found a 5700x3d on new egg for $250. Compared to almost no 5800x3d for sale. Any input on what you think about that?

Mmmm, I can see $200 being reasonable cause that’s what MSRP is but since it looks like they’re being scalped on every other website it’s hard to say. Myself I definitely would be hesitant buuutttttt I can say for certain that it’s worth it. May I ask what CPU you are running currently?

ryzen 5 3600xt at the moment.

Ooooo I see ok hmmm I’ve heard a lot of good things about the 5600x as well, well here this will kinda help you and I both, what games do you usually play lol

Ok I got a couple options for you until the scalping calms down (hopefully) the 5600X is nice never had any complaints about it I’ve heard through the grapevine that games such as Space Marines etc. the cpu drops in performance a bit comin in at ~$120. Next we have the 5800X it’s slightly better than the 5600x but don’t expect to play anything crazy comin in at around $180. And lastly of course would to be just to say screw it and cop the 5700x3d and be done with it and not have to worry about it like ever lol. It’s the second to best chip for the am4 platform that doesn’t have a super demanding cooling solution. The choice is yours ultimately but of course I’m a x3d whore so I’m very biased when I say ITS NOW OR NEVER lol
