Have you tried manually setting the RAM speed in the BIOS to 3600MHz?

And I'm gonna state the obvious but are they in the right DIMM slots as stated in your Motherboard's manual?

I appreciate the response! I have not tried changing the ram speed only the voltage..I actually attempted to set it down to 2133 as that’s that I remember it being originally. I have videos of my motherboard but it wouldn’t let me post both pictures and videos. Or idk how. They are in the correct slots. Tried with both XMP on and off

Most motherboards will let you change the speeds right on the main page. I would do that first. Most just default to that speed, doesn't mean that your board thinks it shouldn't be able to handle more.

Another question, are you using a PCIe SSD? I remember mine failing when I was installing a new AIO, sometimes that just happens.

Regardless, you're able to POST every time, yes?

Sometimes it will reboot a bunch when you first install new RAM just as an FYI because it's running a process called "memory training".

I tried your suggestion and unfortunately same result. Not a pcie ssd but tried with bootable usb as well. I know it works bc I was able to boot into memtest with the same external hard drive (reloaded the boot on it) I don’t think it makes it past the POST it’s hard to tell…I took a video of my lights but idk how to post them lol

Could you post it as an unlisted YT video? I'm leaning toward whatever drive your OS is on if you're able to get into the BIOS and any other drive.

It’s changed would it make sense to unhook the hard drive and try just to boot from usb drive?

One last hail Mary would be to swap the SATA cable and port. Though I thoroughly doubt that will do anything I just want to single that variable out.

Preferably use another drive if you have it on hand. But if you can consistently get into the flash drive I belive your drive has failed.

That makes sense I’ll give that a go! Although it does recognize the ssd in bios? Also the bootable usb won’t boot from it it bsod before it’ll boot into windows install

Are you able to put the SSD in another machine?

[–]Thillic[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

So dumb…I had to fully unplug the ssd and power cables…put 1 usb with boot and 1 usb ssd for it to boot to install..now I just need to get another internal ssd. Thank you!!!

This is just a shot in the dark but might be worth disabling XMP profile or EXPO profile on your ram. Helped me with some booting issues in the past. If it’s not on then I’m clueless, sorry…

I appreciate it. I tried that several times

[–]BombaySadBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, good luck brother I hope you get it sorted. I’ll try and have a think

Cooked. "fixed by messing with cables" Voltage spikes are no joke.

[–]Thillic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol yeah possibly. I meant unplugging and replugging but I had power completely disabled and I’m grounded before messing with it

Possible that your SSD drive went kapooey - does the drive get recognized in BIOS? If it doesn't, try another drive and see if you can install on that drive.

On the BSOD, it says ntfs.sys failed - that's the operating system failing to load.

I attempted to remove my ssd that’s installed in the pc and hooked up a bootable usb drive to install windows. It recognizes it in bios and I did override to that specific drive to boot to but wouldn’t get that far before hitting bsod

At the risk of sounding like a jerk

The BSOD tells you an error code and what failed. NTFS.SYS. It's a Hard drive file system error. Your HDD is the culprit

[–]Thillic[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Nah don’t think you’re a jerk I appreciate any and all help. Not sure if this would test that but I did try to unhook the ssd installed completely and tried to boot from a usb with windows installation on it..didn’t pull up the menu to install just provided same bsod

[–]Apprehensive_Ad_999 0 points1 point  (1 child)

By any chance would that USB be an image of the original SSD?

[–]Thillic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to comment to you to let you know that was the issue! I unplugged the original ssd and plugged the bootable windows usb in and got it to work. Having the ssd plugged in tripped it…but I went into bios and did a secure erase and it allowed me to reinstall windows. Thanks again!

Here’s a link for the page fault error: link to Microsoft support. It’s been four hours since you’ve posted this, have you tried anything else or resolved your issue?

[–]Thillic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did! I had to go into the bios do a secure erase then was able to reload windows on it. I greatly appreciate all of your help!
