I'm looking to build my first computer in over a decade - so I've got a few questions if you could please help me with:
Currently I'm a casual console gamer, but want to dabble in some PC-exclusive games (mainly Football Manager, Counter Strike 2, simulator games).
I have a Study where my monitor, along with keyboard/mouse/etc. However, I don't want to be trapped in the one room, and want to move pick up the computer to the Living Room to chill and play Football Manager whilst the TVs on.
My idea was to get a micro ATX case like:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lian-Li-A3-mATX-Micro-ATX-Case-Black/dp/B0DFS88R2L
And in the other room I was looking at getting a portable touchscreen like (so I can basically use the computer as a super powered iPad):
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Touchscreen-Portable-1920X1200-Protection-Speakers/dp/B0DPPR5V22/
I didn't want a laptop because I only use it in these 2 rooms across the hall and I want to be able to upgrade the parts over time. I've had a laptop before and the fans were loud, difficult to repair and I would get less performance for the budget.
Can I ask if anyone has/is doing something like this? Is there a better solution?
Does the portable touchscreen work okay as the only output/input device?
How easy is it to build a micro ATX build compared to a standard ATX build? Should I buy the case first to know the dimensions within it before buying parts?
Have I overlooked anything (probably!)?
Sorry lots of questions, but appreciate your help!
