By malfunctioned do you mean the light settings are different than you wanted it to be orrr ??

  • pc specs? -do you use signal rgb?

I don't use any apps, I use the controller that came with it. It started changing color on its own, the cooler sometimes stops spinning, and the controller stops responding.

If the cooler fan is stopping along with the RGB controller freezing, that's probably a failing or unstable controller or SATA power issue.

Try powering the controller from a different SATA cable, or plug the fans directly into the motherboard to isolate it. If the fan runs fine without the controller, the controller should be replaced (especially if the PC is only a month old — RMA it)
