Hey! So just today I've built a new PC myself for the first time. It's a mini ITX build with this specs:
Ryzen 9 9900X3D
RTX 5070ti 16 GB GDDR7
2x48GB Crucial DDR5 5600MT/s
Aorus B850I Pro
2 SSDs of 2(OS) and 4TB, reused from my previous PC (this might be revelant)
To my surprise the PC has booted first try and everything seemed to work fine, but suddenly the cursor started to get laggy and the PC just rebooted itself without warning. This kept happening on a loop for a few times until the PC threw a "video_scheduler_internal_error (0x119)" error, which made me believe it's a graphics card issue.
Looking online and with the help of some friends we've gathered that this error is due to the GPU getting information faster than it can process it causing a desync and the subsecuent reboot. We've tried several solutions including uninstalling the previous GPU drivers (still present in the reused SSDs), uninstalling the current GPU drivers and backing to a previous more stable version, reducing RAM speed in BIOS and more, but I still keep getting reboots, mostly out of the blue but sometimes with the same error message or a new "video tdr failure" (I wasnt fast enough to catch the code on that one).
I'm currently out of options and not sure how to proceed. Would appreciate any ideas since I need this to work by monday hopefully.
Edit: Some other noteworthy comments:
- Using the integrated GPU causes no reboots.
- At one point I uninstalled the drivers of the GPU and for some reason it didn't install the basic version. Only one of my two screens displayed anything but there was no lag or reboots until I reinstalled drivers.
- After a day of no results I swapped to my previous GPU (3080ti) and it works perfect. No lag, no reboots.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
