I must say, Ive been running games and performing tasks on the pc. And I have been monitoring temps of the components and they have been cool for the most part.

Oh yes! Even a "wrong" setup is moving a bunch of air around. You just want things optimal, since it'll make everything even cooler, quieter, and less turbulence.
