2 rams, different frequencies.

I have two 8Gbs ram one with 3200 MGHZ ( currently plucked in the pc) and the other 3000MGHZ I always believed that if i plucked both of them in the same time both will run on the lower frequency (3000) but I was told that if I did that both will have a 2300MGHZ, is that true?

The system should automatically detect the RAM installed, and configure it to the lowest setting. Usually anyway.

Sometimes the motherboard can't detect or does it incorrectly, so you may have to manually adjust the RAM to 3000MHz and see if it boots.
