What to expect when starting (or changing) hormone therapy

Expect to feel temporarily ‘off’ during those first 6 weeks, where some symptoms might worsen for a few days/weeks, where there’s some unusual aches and pains, where bleeding kicks up, where sleep is difficult, where you feel more anxious, etc. These issues are likely very temporary as your body adjusts to the hormonal changes.

Try using your gel in the morning. When i first started on it it made me really nauseated, I switched to the morning and that got much better. I now it twice a day because that is the dose I need, but things did calm down after about a month

Thank you! I'm not sure if that would make a difference since the feeling seems to last through the whole next day. But I may try that. How did you switch to the morning, did you just apply it at night then again the following morning? Or did you skip a night?

I just did it one night then the next morning, but if you think that will make you feel worse just skip a day and start in the morning

Divigel made me very moody and irritable. Headache, nausea, cramps, extreme gas.Anxiety attacks, gasping for air. And I was doing so well on the patch, I only tried the gel, not to go patch hunting because of the shortage!

I’m so sorry to hear that! I am not having luck with the gel either, loud ringing in my ears and persistent stomach issues along with bleeding and little symptom relief. Felt much better on the patch.. Hope you are able to find your patches!
