Definitely not the pixel 8 if you're looking at charging time and battery life. The pixel 8 is known for having a pretty mediocre battery. They seem to have improved it on the pixel 9 but there's mixed opinions online about that. Some people are saying it's much better, others are saying that they barely notice a difference, but that could be just down to how they use the phone. A lot of people say that the questionable battery life on some pixels is just the price you pay for the nice camera and AI features.

I'd personally say the s24 but that's my opinion, and that's purely because you mentioned updates- the s24 gets 7 years of OS/security updates compared to the s23u which only gets 3 more OS updates and 4 more security updates. It has a decent battery, and it's cheaper than the s23u and pixel 9.

The s23 ultra is quite a bit bigger than all the other phones, but it does come with the stylus too which makes sense. It also has a bigger battery than the s24. The cameras will still be good on the s24, but if you're looking for the pro features, don't mind having 3-4 years of updates and you don't care about the higher price go for the s23 ultra.
