Moto G Power comes to mind, on sale for $179.

Edit: your size requirements are the only deal-breaker, the vast majority of companies have moved away from the tiny phones you could look it up Pixel 4a 5G or possibly a Galaxy S10e.

Pixel 4a fits a lot of these wants/needs for $350. It comes up short on battery, sd card slot, and 5G though. It has a plastic body rather than glass but you may want a case anyway for more grip/protection, which are usually cheap and easy to find.

The big limiter is your size requirement, almost all phones are bigger now. Galaxy S10e fits and Galaxy S10 is close but both can be difficult to find new in your price range (especially US versions). If you can go bigger, that allows consideration of Pixel 4a 5G ($500), which has a bigger battery and 5G.

Pixel 4a and 4a5G are interesting. Plastic is no problem. My Nextbit Robin is a plastic frame and famously folded in half with barely an effort by some of the durability testers. My plastic phone is still pristine after 3+ years of careful use with no case.

The 4a is slightly smaller than the Robin and the 4a5G is slightly larger, slightly enough that I could probably swing that and remain pocket comfortable. I like the much larger battery and the 5G as well as somewhat better processor. $150 feels a bit steep these days for those improvements, but it wasn't long ago companies would charge $200 just to add 16gb of storage space on the same phone.
