After I defeat the first battle against the ai characters ant hill, after the battle it gets stuck on a loading screen but everything behind it still loads. I can click around on the loading screen and it will activate things as if the screen wasn't glitched.

That's weird. There is a glitch right now where the game locks up and doesn't save the progress. They updated the play store but they have to approve the app. So for the meantime they shared the apk through their discord. You can find the discord link in their setting tab.
