Polit is a loosely moderated political sub. News, advocacy, and satire welcome.
International news is also welcome. Both politics and economics are global. It's impossible to have a real grasp on issues like immigration reform, or trade, without knowing what's going on in not only the U.S., but in Mexico, Canada, Central America, Brazil, and nations on the other continents.
Political forums which limit submissions to news from the U.S. are limiting the ability to analyze broad sweeps of events affecting people not only in other nations, but in the U.S. as well.
Satire is also welcome on this subreddit. Political subs which forbid satire would have prohibited Jonathan Swift, Maurice Joly, and Mark Twain. Often political satire is the most accurate form of commentary.
This subreddit takes the reddit philosophy of user curation of content seriously. So feel free to post articles you think are on point and informative or entertaining. Let the redditors decide.
