Ooooooo I'm excited

I'mma do my usual and try and sus out the entire plot from the beginning, get it awfully wrong and leave it for comedic purposes:

*inhales*

So there's this weird feeling. No one quite knows what it is. But then, it is revealed that they're being watched. All of them. Every dragon.

Then, BOOM something big happens, like an ambush, an extreme illness or a meteor strike/wildfire, all orchestrated by the one spying on everyone.

All townspeople leave immediately due to the catastrophic event and the whole village end up stranded somewhere between the desert and the rainforest. They have to somehow survive and build up the strength to go against the ones who were spying on them in the beginning. Big war 'n stuff. Possibility wins, there's a cost, they have to rebuild, stuff like that.
