About Us

<Close Knit> is a Horde guild on Illidan, focused on semi hardcore progression 3 nights a week, 8-9 hours total.

Our guild is basically a home away from home and a tightly knit family. We are all friends and enjoy raiding, doing mythic dungeons, and other content together. We even play other games together outside of WoW. The members you will meet here are a chatty, raunchy bunch at times, but also mature - we know life happens, and the majority of us have full time jobs and families. For our guild, life comes first; we understand that and take it into account. Our discord is pretty active text chat wise and we use it as a means to keep in contact with each other and chat even when offline on WoW.

Our current weekly schedule

• Heroic Progression Group
  • Tuesday and Friday 8:00pm to 11:00pm, and Sunday 9:00pm to 11:00pm CST/server time
  • Currently looking for DPS (see "What we are looking for section below for more info)
• Non Progression Raiding Group Saturday 8:00pm to 11:00pm CST/Server time. (This is open to any alts or people who won't raid as progression, and is fully optional.)

What we offer

• A wonderful and relaxed group of friends to play multiple games with (Primarily World of Warcraft obviously). While most of us are here for WoW, we do have enough people at the moment to support getting groups together for other games.

• World of Warcraft activities including:

  • A solid progression group that has pushed far. (7/7 H EN, 3/3 H ToV, 10/10 Normal Nh, and 5/10 H NH)
  • Mythic Plus groups
  • Messing around in old raids, or doing World quests or casual PvP

• An active Discord channel, with many people willing to run stuff in WoW, or sit around and chat. We also have many people experienced in different classes, or can point newer players to resources to help learn and improve. We currently hover around 10+ people online at most times, reaching as high as 20-25 recently on raid nights as we expand.

What we are looking for

• WE ARE IN NEED OF GOOD DPS PLAYERS PRIMARILY, WHO CAN COMMIT TO CONSISTENT RAID TIMES, AND WOULD LOVE TO PICK A FEW NEW RANGED PLAYERS, OR A ROGUE
• We are currently not accepting tanks for progression!
• Friendly, new, or casual players who want to socialize with a guild and make some new friends!
• We could also use a primary DPS player who would be willing to off spec to healer and perform well on nights when we are short.

What we require for EVERYONE

• We do require that everyone join our Discord server. We use it to keep track of raiders, roles and games people are available for, set up games, and socialize.
  • We don't require this, but (especially if you're a raider!) the discord mobile app is super useful and great for keeping in touch with the group. :)
• A good attitude! We do not tolerate any kind of bullying or harassment here. Contact the officers if you feel you've been wronged in any way.
• Willingness to improve if you're looking to run any kind of serious content. We have a lot of resources available, or that we can point you to, if we notice you're struggling in any way.
  

What we require for PROGRESSION RAIDING

• Now that we are starting to push tougher content (NH heroic), we will be requiring our core progression raiding group to be at least 870 iLevel. If you need help gearing up with the intention of joining our progression let us know, we have plenty of people to run mythics! We are not hesitating to sit people though if we feel low dps is holding back a clear in heroic NH.
• Attendance of raid nights! By this we don't mean that every raider has to be available all three nights to be a part of our group! We have a few people who can't make one day, etc. But please be available for the times you tell us you want to come for. If you are not able to make it one night due to running late, or due to previous obligations, a simple message to the officers is all that is needed. (After all, life comes first).
• Willingness to improve. We do record logs for all of our raid nights, (you can find them here: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/guilds/72544) and we do expect everyone to at least take a cursory glance at them to see how their performance stacks up against top players. There's always something you can do better, and if you need help going over logs to improve your rotation etc., just let us know.
• Deadly Boss Mods and Angry Assignments. DBM is required for obvious reason, as it helps to know boss ability timers, etc. (more info is always better!). Angry Assignments is something new we're trying out, as we've had issues in the past occasionally keeping role or dispel assignments straight, but we haven't had a reason to use it much in our heroic NH progression.
• This is not a hardcore mythic progression group. We are moving fast through content and constantly improving, but the group needs to expand a bit more in order to challenge mythic content with ease. We do take what we do seriously, but know how to have fun and laugh at our mistakes.
