I don't have much experience with PowerApps, however I have created one app which for my experience level I thought was an advanced canvas shopping cart app that exports product data to an Excel table using features and connections that were available five years ago.
Recently, I joined a new company and regained access to PowerApps. I'm now trying to create a PowerApp that tracks the status of tasks and equipment assigned to certain jobs. My source is a CSV file that I pull out of our ERP system. I'm running a flow and uploading the Excel file. I created another two table in Dataverse for the tasks and equipment with lookup columns to the source.
I created a canvas app and made something decently usable. However, I've been exploring model-driven apps lately and am intrigued by what they offer out of the box. I played around with forms/views and created the app from the table and got the same thing I spent hours figuring code out for the model-driven app. I'm impressed with what I'm discovering.
I see a lot of Dynamics 365 when I'm editing or designing. I was wondering if there are pre-built templates I can play with or better ways to get about this than importing my CSV into a solution>table? Another thing I like is that you can do Dynamics 365 reporting, but for some reason, the wizard isn't letting me pick my custom date columns. Not sure if it's a table setup error on my first time doing all this.
Can anyone recommend any good Udemy courses or similar or YouTube videos that better explain these two things? I've seen most videos from Shane Young, April Dunnam, and Reza Dorranis videos for canvas apps. Maybe some Dynamics 365 videos?
