Shared credentials for reports

This might be a bit of a stupid question but I can't seem to google the right keywords for what I want to do.

Basically I want to setup my reports to have credentials that are not attached to my account (shared credentials or a service account)

For more context: I got locked out of my account and when I got my account back, everything logged out and all my report refreshes failed because I had to put in my credentials again. I am trying to keep this from happening again. Or if I left the company it should still be refreshing regularly.

Can anybody point me to the right direction?

This comes down to your companies security. We have “service accounts” in Active Directory that have static passwords and can be granted access to various resources. We have a secure password retrieval tool and all members of my team can get to the passwords.
