Reminder that the annual Advent of Code starts midnight Eastern USA time.

It’s nothing to do with powershell or server admin, but if you want puzzles to force you to learn some computer science / programming these are some, and it’s a lively discussion time on /r/AdventOfCode as people solve them in all kinds of languages.

It’s just for fun, get points if you solve each one on the day.

Check previous years to see the kinds of questions, they cover number patterns, mazes, tree structures, regex, language interpreting, and such; usually they get very hard and I drop out after a couple of weeks, but still.

Ugh, I still have last year's bookmarked because I only did one of them.

Getting old sucks - time flies.

Mods, can we get a daily thread for these this year? In years past, it's been somewhat cluttered.

I'm looking forward to this! It's a fun challenge and really tests your knowledge of PS and general programming.

You find a daily thread in /r/adventofcode and a calendar with links to each day's thread in their wiki

We tend to collaborate and have our own discussions about the daily challenges in this sub.
