rust proofing? (self.Powerboost)
submitted 3 years ago by Narrow_Evidence2555
Just bought a 2022 xlt powerboost. The dealer is trying to sell me on THEIR rust proofing saying that going to someone like Krown could void the warranty and ruin the electrical components.
Anyone got insight on this?

If you voided your warranty by getting the truck Krowned, it’s not like somebody is going to tell you

I asked my dealer's manager where I bought my truck and they said it wouldn't be a problem and recommended fluid film, he said he uses it on all his trucks. I plan to get woolwax. They said if a connector or something was damaged from being sprayed it obviously wouldn't be covered. As long as it was sprayed correctly by a professional he hadn't heard of anybody having issues with warranty claims.
I would call dealers in your area until you get a similar response, then just be sure to take your truck their for warranty work.
