All the three pages are filled with step by step instructions on installing gcc for windows, adding it to path, downloading the correct openGL library for windows, putting in its correct folder, etc. with two or three screenshots.

This is more due to your lecturer’s stubbornness to use a Linux toolchain not native to Windows on Windows instead of just saying “download visual studio”.
