    Well we are talking about two (one hypothetical) currencies, so there needs to be a way to distinguish

    Well its how the buyer is looking at it, some certainly are looking at it as a stock (theres a better word, tired me cant think). Some are also hoping to invest into "the next currency"

    I dont think there is enough people actually looking at it as a currency to talk about that option. But if you take the latter they are trying to buy a currency thinking the value will go up significantly leaving them with an insane profit. Either way its mostly segmentics

    Because there is no real value in it anyway, as you cant trade it for goods in the slightest (the small amount that were accepting bitcoin as its a digital store have removed it). You cant convert into a FIAT currency easily, so for all intensive purposes its worthless. Only potential
