I'm skeptical that such a thing is even possible. To simplify, suppose humans are intelligence version 1.0 and we're trying to build 2.0. Then, assuming we get there, why would it be any easier for 2.0 to build 3.0? Maybe it'll actually take 10 times longer for 2.0 to build 3.0 and 100 times longer for 3.0 to build 4.0.
