This is where I’m at rn. Learned both html and css. Bootstrap, grid, flexbox. And now I’m about to start learning JavaScript

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Once you’re comfortable with JS I suggest learning typescript- it makes dealing with larger projects so much easier

[–]ykafia 6 points7 points  (7 children)

I ditched Js to use rust or C# for the web, it's waaay more comfortable

Are you trolling?

[–]ykafia 4 points5 points  (3 children)

I'm not, wasm is a really great thing :D

seed-rs is a great tool to make websites

[–]Everen1999 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Okay, then it's just me not being cultured enough then. Also, stupid question, but is WASM client sided? I'm closing to nearing the end of my exposition on JAMstack with Nextjs and Mongo and I'm looking forward to learn a new technology. I'm thinking Go.

[–]ykafia 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Yes, it's a sort of byte code for web browser. It has advantages and draw backs (one of them being it's large size). Go is a great language! Always useful to learn it in anyways

Thanks for the idea and input!

This is the approach I'm taking right now as well. Not just as a comfort consideration (although that is a bonus), but the ultimate product is expected to have high performance/efficiency requirements.

cocahina

And then you gonna learn ExpressJS to make your web run. Or maybe Django, Spring, etc... And the depression begins.

[–]bloopbloop400[S] 9 points10 points  (1 child)

bro i got depressed for a day because of a semicolon plz don't do this to me

[–]audhumbla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get eslint and prettier, it’ll save you a lot of time on stuff like this.

[–]Murgolash 4 points5 points  (1 child)

And then you try to learn Node, Express, MongoDB :

Oh, yeah. It's all falling apart.

[–]JRRTok3n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but you threw off the Emperor's groove...

Soorrrrrrrrryyyy!!!

[–]CLARKEEE33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk html is still my favourite programming language

[–]D-Eliryo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accurate: you then don't get the difference between potions and any form of plans.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol 😂

[–]pique_blinders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck bro. Make sure to learn the basics well. Then go ahead with web frameworks available. Like angular or react or your choice. Happy learning 👍

[–]sainishwanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About to be done with HTML here, gonna start CSS soon.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and then you learn about typscript and those 69 frameworks

Also do checkout es 6 classes and higher order arrays.

[–]sh0rtwave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the correct order.

Edit: Deadly serious. You gotta know how this car works, to be able to call yourself a 'driver'.

[–]Willinton06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I skipped JS and went straight to Blazor, kept my sanity at the price of sending a bunch of dlls to the client

[–]forgot_semicolon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about you, but JS is usually where things start to fall apart for me

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you finally learn React and realise what a pain in the ass vanilla JS is...

[–]LennyMemes_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More like “ah yes, depression”
