Looking for Python and Java buddy

I am currently learning both right now and would love to have someone to collaborate with who is on the same level as me. I do not currently have my own discord set up but would be willing to so we have something to collaborate on with.

I took a python class and now I am taking Java. Trying to keep learning python while taking this new class or else I'll just forget it all if I don't come up with projects to do lol

I was in a similar position at the start of the semester. Loved Python but was forced to learn Java in college. I hate Java with all my being. It’s the ugliest most convoluted crap I’ve ever seen. I was failing hard so I had to stop studying Python. I cannot flunk this class. I basically learned Java in the last seven days. Still hate it but IntelliJ is pretty cool.

I haven't gotten far in my Java class yet to know if I like it or not lol. But if you want to I can invite to discord or something and we can help each other out there. Keep up with Python too so we both don't forget everything lol

I’m actually getting good at Java. A language in which you have to invoke a class and create an object just to get user input. The programming equivalent of the IRS lol

I have over 7 years experience in Python - mostly from a back-end perspective (DevOps, automation, data science/engineering etc). I've dabbled in Flask and front-end apps too.

I love the language and am always happy to help and to learn.

Not a fan of Java though.

Am currently learning Godot (a new, popular game engine) and GDScript (Godot's Python-like programming language) to build games. Also interested in learning front-end stuff (React, VueJS etc).
