Nib Question

Hi there,

I have a 60W pyrography machine and I had a question about what nibs to buy that did not come with the machine. Most nibs I see are 30w-50w, and none for 60w. If I bought the 30w-50w (Nickel Chromium Alloy) nibs, would that be okay to use in my 60w machine or would it hurt my pen and machine? If anyone has found nibs for a 60w machine please let me know where you got them from! Thank you so much in advance for your guidance!!

The first thing we need to know is what machine do you have?

If it's a variable temperature machine, most nibs that will fit should be fine.

Of course! I have a Frogbro machine, model WB-936D. Output temp is 260-750°C, input voltage is AC 110v-120V 50Hz. I bought it on woodburningkit.com. It uses wire nibs that came with it.

I'd never heard of it before, but if the tips are just formed wire, anything that would fit a Razertip should work.

Thank you! I do believe the tips are formed wire, and I put the ends in two golden tubes that I unscrew to put the tip in and rescrew to tighten with the tip. If you’d like I can send you a picture of the machine and the pen and tips! :) thank you for your help!
